How the coaching works

01

Starting assessment

We review your times, your history and your target race. We set a realistic yard target.

02

A living weekly plan

You get your plan every week and it adjusts to your real data: pace, elevation and how you feel.

03

Race strategy

An hour-by-hour plan for starts, rest and aid station stops on race day.

“In a backyard the winner isn’t whoever runs fastest, but whoever best manages rest and mindset. That’s the whole job: reaching the next start in shape to run one more loop.”

Frequently asked questions

Who is personal coaching for?

For anyone preparing a backyard ultra or another ultra-distance race who wants a plan built for their race and their level: from first-timers in the format to runners who have done one and want to manage rest and the night better.

How do I start?

By filling in the “Tell us your goal” form on this page with your race, your experience and your availability. We reply within 24 hours, and the first step is a starting assessment: your times, your history and your target race.

Is it a generic plan?

No. Coaching is one-to-one: you get the plan every week and it is adjusted to your real pace, elevation and how you feel, instead of following a fixed template until race day.

What does the race strategy include?

An hour-by-hour plan for race day: how fast to run each loop, how to use the rest left within the hour and what to eat and drink at each stop, built for your specific race.

Can you guarantee a number of loops?

No: in a backyard nobody can know how many loops they will run. The work is reaching every start fit to run one more loop, with a realistic goal set in the starting assessment.
